The Message of the Cross...

1 Corinthians 1:18 NKJV

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”

Just about a week after Easter in a world with many “unknowns” on a daily basis. There is one thing that is known. And that is that Jesus saves, and the power of the message of the cross.

There is POWER in the blood of the Lamb. John cried out, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1:29).

It is foolish to deny the power of the message of the cross, because it in the sacrifice that was given for each and everyone of us, is the love of God illustrated to us, given to us, and invitation for us to believe.

You see Jesus has already completed His part on the cross, now it is up to each of us. We must believe, to receive. The Bible reminds us that “without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6).

Jesus came, died, and rose again JUST FOR YOU. We MUST believe. There is no other way. Faith is confidence in God, His word, in Jesus, the message of the Cross, and the complete understanding that “For God so LOVED the world” that He gave us the gift of His son Jesus. And if we would believe, we can “receive” eternal life.

I encourage you if you have not accepted HIM as the Lord of your life, as your Savior… to this very moment to believe in Him. Accept Jesus as your Savior. Surrender your life to Him, and allow Him to be the Lord of your life.

If you make this decision today, I would like to ask that you send me, or our church a letter, or note so we can pray for you daily in your new walk with the Lord. It can be sent electronically or through mail at PO BOX 12238, Rock Hill, SC 29731. We would love to hear from you.

Believe in the message of the cross, there is POWER in the message of the cross… Those who find it as foolishness are those who are perishing. But those us recognize its POWER are those who are being Saved.

Blessings,
Pastor Jonathan W. Pannell
