Being Humble
April 28, 2020, 9:54 AM

It never ceases to amaze me how humble Jesus was. God sent us a savior and could have chose any form, any method, and any way to present the savior of the world. However, Jesus took on the form of a bondservant came in the likeness of man (Philippians 2 NKJV). He was found in the appearance as a man. And came humble, remained humble, and humbly died a death on the cross. God’s love amazes me more and more each day. Honestly, the more you think about how God loves you and has demonstrated His love towards us, it becomes even more amazing.

We must desire to become more like Him. And understand the importance of being humble in this world we live in today. Let us together humble ourselves to Him, surrender our lives to Him, and remain obedient to Him in all that we do.

What is your story?
We know that Jesus was humble and “became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross”. How have you demonstrated being humble recently in your walk with God? How have you demonstrated your obedience towards our Heavenly Father?

Pastor Jonathan W. Pannell III

[ The Humbled and Exalted Christ ] Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

Philippians 2:5-8 NKJV
